We had a lot of guest coming from out of town/state for the wedding and the convenience of having the rehearsal, ceremony and reception was great. One of the many highlights of the wedding weekend was the fact that so many of our guests commented on how much they were enjoying staying at the Hotel Indigo. but the very best part about it was it's staff! From the group sales manager and staff, to the front desk crew, to the housekeeping / valet staff, Rialto Room bartenders/servers. And it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! I cannot say enough great things about the Hotel Indigo, it's charm, cleanliness, it's decor. With my daughter's wedding being held at the Founders Garden on the nearby University of Georgia campus, we naturally thought of the Indigo for our many out of town guests as well as our Rehearsal Dinner location, because of it's awesome vibe and convenient proximity to our wedding day venue, as well as to quaint and lively downtown Athens. Ultimately, I had a wonderful experience with Hotel Indigo and Abby and would recommend everyone to use this space if their guest count allows for it. Parking was not an issue for a weekend wedding as the parking lot across the street allowed for free parking on the weekends. Hotel Indigo also has preferred vendors which worked out very well as they worked together seamlessly on the wedding day. I had about 67 people and I genuinely wouldn't have wanted it any other way. The max guest count is 120 but during COVID, it was reduced to 70. They have a beautiful full bar with reasonably priced packages. The Rialto room is gorgeous and already well decorated in an Athens vibe, which helped cut down on the decoration costs. I was planning my wedding from out of town and Abby was extremely quick and thorough with any questions I had and was able to meet with me whenever I was in town. I purchased the gold package and paid for a day-of-coordinator and I cannot express how wonderful Hotel Indigo and Abby were in orchestrating my wedding reception. We were so happy with all the aspects of Hotel Indigo Athens and we would for sure recommend it to anyone! Not to mention, they are just cool people and so fun to work with :) Even the bartenders at our wedding were incredible! They signed our guest book AND wrote a recipe for a specialty cocktail that my husband sampled at the wedding. Leigh made the entire wedding booking and planning process so easy and Charlie did an incredible job with making sure the wedding day ran smoothly. What really made our experience amazing was the staff! Our wedding venue coordinator, Leigh, and our day of coordinator, Charlie, were just amazing. The lobby bar and outside patio area had plentiful seating and were a great hang out spot throughout our wedding weekend. As far as the hotel itself, we were very pleased! We had a room block at the hotel which included clean, cute, and spacious rooms for our guests which was a big hit. My husband and I got married at Hotel Indigo Athens almost 2 months ago now! We had an amazing experience with the hotel and the wedding planning/venue staff. My wedding day felt perfect, and Hotel Indigo played a huge role in crafting such an amazing day. Again, I could easily write on and on about this venue, but to spare you the time: THEY WERE AMAZING IN EVERY WAY. Guests from near and far remarked how much they enjoyed the hotel, not to mention the setup was ideal for having everything happen in one place. ![]() When it came time for our wedding weekend, Hotel Indigo was prepared, professional, flexible, and ultimately did an amazing job with hosting us. Through the months leading up to the wedding, we were in constant contact and Leigh was always prompt in responding to any questions I sent her way. ![]() The hotel's setup was literally perfect for our 115-guest wedding. Every aspect of the venue was perfect for our needs, and I also appreciated how easy-going and personable the staff was. We were sold immediately and had zero hesitations about signing a contract w/ Hotel Indigo. Hotel Indigo was at the top of my prospects list and was the first venue my husband and I visited. I could easily write pages and pages singing the praises of this venue and the staff, particularly the current wedding manager, Leigh Palmer.
